I can't link my child's account to nest mini

I used to be able to do so using the family link app, but now when I tap 9n that option nothing happens.

Does it work if you use the Google Home app or Assistant settings on your child's phone or tablet instead?

It won't let me using Home on his tablet and when I try add device using Assistant I get a "no WiFi" error message.

Can you explain what you mean by it won't let you use the Home app? Can you see the speaker in the Home app on your child's tablet? 

What kind of tablet is it? Is it running a recent version of its OS with the latest versions of the Home and Assistant apps?

I managed to get it sorted eventually. Had to add my son to the household, thanks!
