Google Home Mini only one green light

One of my Google Home Mini's stopped working, i have followed other tips, with power off 10 sec. press the button on the buttom, for 10-20 sec. wait for sound - tryed to power of-wait 10sec-power on- power off .... repeat 10 times.

Nothing works, only one green light comes on when i press the button. 

How can I reset the Home Mini or is it dead ... ??

 

and plez dont repet the whole 

 

  1. At the side of the Google Home Mini speaker, unplug the power cord > wait 10 seconds > plug the power cord back in > wait for the 4 LED lights to turn on.
  2. Repeat the first step, 10 more times.
  3. On the last attempt, wait until the device announces "Welcome to Google Home".

i done that as well nothing working

Happened to me 2 days ago on one of mine.   They're bricked?   From what I've read were screwed. Unplugging all that doesn't that work no reset blah blah blah. I'm irritated

Honest to god, my Pixel 6 had a motherboard failure,  my Pixel watch needs a reset after being on the charger half the time, bricked Home Mini...all this and my Youtube TV and YouTube Premium took at 20% price increases.  I often wonder if there's a board meeting focused on ways to lose me as a customer

Same here. Several threads on this already, possibly a widespread issue. I spoke with support, apparently they're aware of the problem and working on it, but no further info. Hard to see how it can be fixed if it won't even factory reset.

i know right this needs to be fixed

funny u seen my msg i tryed it all XD the unplugging and i now done that about 11 un plugs wait 10 sec and plug back in for almost ones pre day for the last 2 weeks so yeah i would say look into this fast i ts happening to more and more people

I am interested if there is a resolve to this yet, wondering if it's trash or if there's a solution. I really like this mini so I hope there is a response soon.

Happened to me last week as well. Device Google Home Mini 1st Gen. Tried plug unplug suggestion 1+10 times several times, microphone on/off before plug unplug, holding the reset button for 20 sec. then release for 10 sec. then unplug plug again nothing works. I get 4 dim white dots and when I hold the reset button I get green light on the first of the 4 dots. And that's the status for more than week now. Meanwhile I am probably giving up on this device since nothing changes.

Exact same situation with my Mini. Did the whole unplug, wait 10 secs, plug in (10 times). Nothing happens on final time. If I hold reset button only the first light illuminates green. Nothing else happens. Is the device dead? Ready for the trash?

Exact same issue with my Google home mini gen 1. I'm assuming there is no fix, considering how long this thread has been going on for. Very frustrating as I've got a few Google home devices I've had issues with over the years. Considering moving to Alexa for improved reliability...

so no update anyone got theres working or just thorwing them all away? as i may buy an amazon one at this rate with no help no update on how the fix is going and no one saying anythign to us

I don’t think they really care. There’s no money it in for them to correct the bug. They want us to go buy new ones.

Nope. I think that’s the same issue all of us are experiencing and Google hasn’t offered a solution.

Has this been resolved?  Comments.  In similar situation.

They told me it was out of warranty so there's nothing they could do.  Couldn't believe it.  I asked if they could give me advance notice for the next product they plan on breaking so I can better prepare for it.  My sarcasm went unanswered.  Simply abysmal customer service.  They bricked my device and then told me they can't replace it.
