Google Home Mini stopped audio notifications for tasks

Since migration to tasks, my Google Home mini does not trigger audio notifications. Earlier it would play a sound and mention Reminder for "User" and "What the reminder is for" 

Now it just shows a single glowing dot on the notification LEDs but no audio output. I had set up a recurring task using Google Home. 

How can I get it play an audio notification.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Migrating your reminders to tasks is permanent and cannot be undone. Your reminders are now tasks. Tasks appear with events in your calendar and are indicated with a check mark . To view your tasks, turn on the "Tasks" calendar. Could you create a new task and see if it will notify you? 

Also, toggle the notification on your phone and let's see if this will make any difference:

1. Open your phone's Settings app.
2. Tap Apps & notificationsNotifications.
3. Tap your Google app.
4. Turn Reminders on or off.

  • “Hey Google, show my reminders.”

  • The side panel across Workspace on your desktop
