Google Home Mini wont power on

Hi all!

My google home mini just randomly stopped working. It wont connect to my app, the lights on top wont turn on, and i can only get a green light to come on if i push the button on the bottom. 
i have searched the forms here, however when trying the options provided, nothing works. 
Thanks for your help!

Hey CheyW,

 

Thanks for sharing details about the issue. I know how challenging it is not having a working device when needed - I'd love to help!

 

Please try these steps below that may help us fix the issue:

 

  1. On the side of the device, unplug the power cord > wait 10 seconds > plug the power cord back in > wait for the 4 LED lights to light up.
  2. Repeat the first step, 10 more times.
  3. On the last attempt, wait for the device to announce "Welcome to Google Home".
  4. Set up the device in the Google Home app.

Hey there, i tried these steps and they didnt work. I spoke with someone via the google chat and we tried all of these options. No sound comes from the google home after the unplugging 10 times process. The representative i spoke with said they would get back to me via email within 48 hours. I am still waiting to hear back from them. Seems like my device may be defective
