Hey! I'm having trouble with my Google Home Mini. It's automatically reboot when i turn up the volume over 60%. What's the solution? it's running on v2.57.375114 firmware and not updating it to latest firmware itself.

Hi @sayed_bd,

Thanks for posting in the community. That sounds like a real bummer! A Google Home Mini restarting every time you crank up the volume must be disruptive. I appreciate you letting me know the firmware version (v2.57.375114) as well. That information helps us narrow down the issue.

Let's see if we can figure out what's causing these unexpected reboots. Here are a couple of things to consider:

  • Is your Google Home Mini plugged directly into a wall outlet, or are you using a power strip or extension cord? ( Sometimes, unstable power delivery can cause electronic devices to restart.)

Regarding the Firmware Update:

  • Unfortunately, there isn't a public way to manually force a firmware update on Google Home devices. Updates typically happen automatically in the background. However, the fact that your Mini isn't updating to the latest version could be a clue to the problem.

Here are some next steps we can try:

  • Soft Reboot: Have you tried simply restarting your Google Home Mini? A soft reboot can sometimes resolve temporary glitches. Just unplug the power cable for a minute, then plug it back in and wait for it to restart completely.
  • Check Internet Connectivity: While less likely, an unstable internet connection could potentially cause issues. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properl

If none of these suggestions seem to help, I'd recommend reaching out to Google Nest Support. They can provide more advanced troubleshooting based on your specific device and account details.

Regards,

Mario.
