Google Home and Mini's not working

I have one Google Home and 4 Google Mini speakers throughout the house. They control 8 C by GE lights, 2 Android TV's and a couple of outlets in several rooms. I also, control them with my Android phone, Galaxy S20+. The WiFi network is also the Google WiFi mesh network.

Every two or three days, the Google Home and the Google Mini's become unresponsive. The completely fail at controlling anything, If I tell them to turn off a light,  the take a few seconds before playing a single "ding" and the light stays on. Not just one or two of them, all of them.

Using the Home app "usually" shows the state of the lights correctly, but will not change the state in anyway for any of the lights.

This has gone on for the entire lives of the devices.

The only way I can get the system back is to unplug every device, once they are all unplugged I can then plug them back in. They will now control my lights.

I need some sort of solution to get them working permanently. Or something to really help me figure out what's going on.

Best regards,

Rick

Hey there rryerson,

I'm so sorry to hear about the issues that you're having controlling your lights and other things, I'm sure it's frustrating but I'm happy to help.

Would you mind letting me know if you are able to control them from the Google Home app or if it's from the devices themselves that you are having difficulty controlling them through.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

When it stops working,  the app doesn't work either.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear that you're still having issues with this, but I'm happy to go through some troubleshooting steps with you.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Have you also tried unlinking the devices and relinking them?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Garrett DS
