Google Home speaker stopped

Google Home speaker has stopped. Cannot reboot. No coloured start up lights at all. Have unplugged, held in mic to try factory reset with no response. Does this mean it cannot be fixed and I need to replace? When I plug into power point I can hear a ticking sound.

Hi Seajade,

This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? Is it the one with the slanted top? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? What is the status of the LED lights on top?

We appreciate you doing the factory reset. Was it the same steps as what you see in this link? If so, follow the steps below for additional troubleshooting:

  1. On the side of the device, unplug the power cord > wait 10 seconds > plug the power cord back in > wait for the 4 LED lights to light up.
  2. Repeat the first step, 10 more times.
  3. On the last attempt, wait for the device to announce "Welcome to Google Home".
  4. Set up the device in the Google Home app.

Tell us how it goes.

Best,

Dan
