Google Nest Mini wants me to re-login every day

After I recently went back to factory settings to fix my Spotify Problem (it told me that an error happened and i should try again later - which I did for a few weeks and eventually forgot to even use it for Spotify).

I tried resetting it more than once, but every time I am setting it up it says that the setup failed but it still shows up in my Google Home App (as offline though, although it's fully usable).

The annoying part is, that it wants to get reconnected to my home every day.

Here are the system information data:

System firmware version: 324896

Cast firmware: 1.56.324896

Language: Deutsch

MAC address: D4:F5:47:1F:XX:XX

Country code: DE

IP address: 192.168.0.184

Hi Fabii,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

We're sorry to hear that you have to experience this with your Google Nest Mini. A few things I'd like to ask-- is it your first time to set up your Google Nest Mini? Do you have other Google Nest speakers that shows the same symptoms?

Since you've already tried performing some troubleshooting steps, could you try to move the speaker closer to the router and reboot the router simply by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes. As soon as it is plugged back in, monitor your device's behavior and see if it made any changes.

Best,

Princess

Hi Princess,

This isn't the first time I set up this nest speaker. I did a factory reset to fix my Spotify issues (as said before). I don't have any other Nest Speakers.

I did perform manual reboots by power cycling and the device is already literally next to the router.

Kind regards

Fabii

Hey Fabii,

Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Just an added question: what is the Google Home app version on your phone? If you're not in the public preview version, please check "Events" on the Google Home app to see if you can see any logs that your device was disconnected from your account. Also, have you using a new account to check if you will experience the same issue?

Cheers,

Muddi

Hello Muddi,

The Google Home App Version on my Phone (Pixel 6, QPR Beta) is 2.63.1.12
The Event Log says:

Device removed - Zimmer speaker
Today, 10:23
<my-gmail-Account> removed it from your home.

or

Device removed - Zimmer speaker
Yesterday, 08:10
<my-gmail-Account> removed it from your home.

For the record - although it shows that I removed it from my home it wasn't me. And yes, my Account is secured (unique password, 2FA with security keys,..). Re-Adding the nest speaker also adds another copy each time: Link

I haven't tried using another Google Account of mine to test this issue as other accounts are not linked into my Google Home which would render it useless (I am using it to control my Smart-Home). And I just tried to send my other account (a privately used Google Workspace Account) an invite which failed with the message "Can't send invitation at the moment".

Hey Fabii,

We appreciate your efforts. We'd be happy to take a look into this for you. Please fill out this form with all the needed information then let me know once done. By the way, Google Workspace account is not supported that's why you can't link or add it to the Google Home app.

Cheers,

Muddi
