Google Hub Screen 80% black

RogerA

Dear Team,

Like many other contributors my Google nest display has 80% of the screen covered by a black screen, the hub responds to voice commands, but believes it does not have a screen so will not react to screen related requests such as show me a recipe. I have tried all the recommended fixes, (reboot, factory reset, unplug etc) but like other members of the community have stated nothing seems to fix this issue, which appears to be software-related as the same problem is happening to so many devices. I have read several threads about this issue, but as yet no solution.

Please can you advise?

Regards

RogerA

Hello @RogerA

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community about this screen situation with your Nest Hub. I apologize for all the inconvenience with the Nest Hub screen. I'm here to help you with that.

I completely understand this situation. Let me lend you a hand to find the solution. Could you help me with some questions?

  • When did the behavior start?
  • Was the device dropped or knocked over?
  • What other troubleshooting steps have you tried?
  • Did you try to perform a Factory reset on your Nest Hub?
  • Additionally, if you could share with us a picture showing the display showing this situation, it would be very useful for us.

Feel free to keep us posting. I will be happy to find a solution for this situation.

Best regards,

Douglas.
