Google Nest Audio Not Working

Bryan32485
Community Member

I have a Nest Audio, it suddenly stopped working, it just happened like this. From one moment to the next it got stuck in an endless loop. When I unplug it and plug it back in, two lights come on, then four dim, then four brighten, and it seems to be trying to connect to the internet without making any noise.Previusly when I tried to restart it the usual way, but when plugged in it doesn't register any buttons. After a while with its little charging light show, it just goes blank and doesn't respond to turning the microphone on and off or to button presses. Sometimes it gets stuck on the initial four lights and after a few hours it shuts off completely.

So far, my Google Nest Audio has frozen. IT has changed their behaviour now only the two center lights are on steadily, and there's no response if I try to unplug it and plug it back, It keeps showing those two lights. No matter what I do, it doesn't respond. This is similar to the Error Lights shown in the

Google Nest and Google Home device LED lights

but instead of 2 Solid Red I have 2 Solid White and my device does nothing

Try this ...... Unplug it from the power - leave for 1 hour - plug back in and see what happens - has worked for me before 😁👍

Hi There!
thank you so much for your inputs here, but unfortunately this did not work for me 😞

Hi @Bryan32485,

Thanks for posting in the community page. I'm sorry to hear your Google Nest Audio stopped working as it gets stuck in a loop showing 2 solid white lights, which makes your Google Nest Audio unresponsive. Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps you've tried to resolve the issue. No worries, I'm here to help.

To better assist you, let's try the following steps:

  • Reboot the router. Please disconnect it from the power source, wait for about one minute, and then reconnect it.
  • Please factory reset your Google Nest Audio by:
  • On the back of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange.
  • Press and hold the center of the Nest Audio, near the top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
  • Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.
  • Try to connect your Google Nest Audio to a 2.4 GHz network, if available.
  • Make sure you're using the original power cord that came with your Google Nest Audio.

@lwlDiablolwl, thank you for your help!

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Jonathan

Hi @sicsacol

Thanks for your inputs here, I’ve followed all the instructions you gave me but unfortunately nothing has happened and the device still remains in the state I’ve described before

Please note that when moving the switch to mute the device it does not respond, also while pressing the touch buttons nothing responds and remains with the two central lights lit permanently in white
