Google Nest Audio setup issue

Max2276

Hi there. I have two next audios that I had connected to my iPhone 12 Pro Max through the Google Home App. I recently bought a 16 Pro Max and I have been unable to connect it to the Nest Audios as the app said the devices were on different networks even though they weren’t.

I reinstalled the Google home app and factory reset both Nest Audios and now when I try to set them up again I can’t get past the wifi connection stage. It says that the Nest Audio could not communicate with my iPhone and to make sure that I have enabled local network access in my iPhone's privacy settings, which I have done. But it’s still not working. I’ve tried factory resetting and reinstalling the Google home app twice now. But no luck. I’m running iOS 18 and the latest version of the Google home app.

Hi @Max2276

Thanks for reaching out and providing detailed information. I understand that you're encountering some issues when you try to set up your Google Nest Audio and you receive an error message that says the Nest Audio could not communicate with my iPhone, and i appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've already taken. I'm here to help you find a solution together.

To assist you further, please attempt the following questions:

  • Have you experienced any power outages in your area?
  • Are both your Google Home app and smartphone operating system up to date?
  • Were there any recent changes to your environment, such as a change in Wi-Fi network or relocation of the device?
  • When did this behavior first begin?
  • Have you tried connecting the Google Nest Audio to a different power source?
  • May I know the model of your smartphone?
  • This is the first time to set up your Google Nest Audio?
  • May I know who the internet provider is?

Please keep me posted.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.
