Google Nest Display appears faulty

The display of our Google Nest Hub seems to be acting up. The screen is much darker and less clear excluding a small bar on the right side of the screen. We have restarted a couple times but this does not seem to improve the screen.

Hi Andy98,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that the screen of your Google Nest Hub is much darker, excluding a small bar on the right side of the screen. Thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the inconvenience. No worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • When did the behavior start?
  • Was the device dropped or knocked over?
  • Is the Google Nest Hub still working?
  • Is the Google Nest Hub’s Assistant working?
  • What's the Fuchsia version of your Google Nest Hub?

In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure the mobile device is linked to the same account as the Google Nest display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Select the Nest Hub display.
  4. At the top right, tap “Settings,” then “Display.”
  5. Locate the “Auto-brightness offset” slider.
    • To increase the brightness, move the slider to the right (Brighter).
    • To decrease the brightness, move the slider to the left (Dimmer).

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Virna
