Google Nest Hub 2 "Network Problem"

Opal

I am attempting to setup my Google Nest Hub 2.  During setup, I get this message "Network Problem ..." (see pic below)

I tried various things, reset router, factory reset Nest hub, tried both 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz channels.  I've contacted Google Support, who suggest this, but it didn't work:

  • Forget all networks on phone
  • Go to Home app > Tap on Profile > Click on home app settings >  Clear saved WiFi networks
  • Reboot router for 5 minutes
  • Connect phone back to the network
  • Set up device
  • Make sure to enter the password manually during the time connecting the display to the network

Anyone able to figure this out?  I'm good with tech, and have setup other Google products (Home Minis, Chromecast) without any issue.  This is very frustrating.  The Nest Hub 2 appears to be connected to my phone (Nokia 6.1 running Android 10).

I've even exchanged the Nest Hub 2 with another.
