Google Nest Hub 2

katslik

We received the Google Nest Hub 2 years ago, when our daughter had her first baby. We were thrilled to see all the milestone pictures that she would upload and share with us. It was working well for a while and then it started disconnecting from wifi. We had to reboot our modem, restart the Google Nest Hub, even restored it to factory setting. Finally, it does not connect to our Google Home App or the network. Very disappointing! No idea what else to do...

Hello katslik,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Community Forum. I’m sorry to hear that your Google Nest Hub (2nd generation) isn’t connecting to your wi-fi network. So no worries; I’m here to assist you.

I am grateful for your time and effort in completing these troubleshooting steps described in the post, so to provide you with accurate information, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • What is the firmware version of your device?
  • Are there other Google Nest displays set up and working in the home?
  • Are you unable to find your Wi-Fi network when setting up your device?
  • Are you stuck, or do you see an error message on your screen?
  • How far is your device from the wifi router?
  • Were there any recent changes to the network?

In the meantime, check out these recommendations suggested by this article: Fix issues with a Nest speaker or display not connecting to Wi-Fi.

Please feel free to share any additional details you think might be relevant.

Best regards,

Daniel
