Google Nest Hub Gen1

I have had the Nest Hub Gen1 since it was released. I noticed the update they did with more apps when you swipe up from the bottom and was very pleased.

Over the past 2 weeks, with no problems in the past, When I walk over to the hub it doesn't do the motion activated welcome screen and when I tap the screen nothing happens. If I swipe down I only have clock as an option. I used to have media control and a lot of others. I have to reboot it to get those options back.

Is there a way to fix this or was it broken with a recent update?

Hey Kerbdogy,

We're sorry for the trouble with your Google Nest Hub — let's figure this out.

Could you try resetting your Nest Hub to its default settings? If the issue persists, can we have the cast firmware and software version of your Nest Hub? Here's how:

  1. Make sure the customer's mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap and hold the device.
  4. Select Settings > Device information.
  5. Under Technical information, find Cast firmware:X.XXX.XXXXX.
  6. Scroll to the bottom. If there's a Fuchsia version indicator, this means that the device runs Fuchsia.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Alex
