I've set up the Google Nest Hub Max to open my Google Keep notes when I say "Hey G, show me my notes" as I use Google Keep to store my recipes. This works fine, however, when I open a note/recipe, it opens fine but after a minute, the Nest Hub reverts back to my home screen and my note closes.
Is there a way to keep the screen "active" for longer than a minute?
Thanks.

Hey costasean,
Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help with keeping your screen from locking too soon? Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Jake,
Yes, I'm still having this issue. The only way I can stop the Nest Hub Max from reverting back to the home screen is to tap the screen or say "Hey Google" so it waits for a command. I'm at the point now where I think I'll have to buy something like this that simulates a screen tap so that Google Keep stays open.

Hey costasean,
Sorry again for the delayed reply. The display usually times out after 5 minutes, but I was able to find some more information.
1. Select the Nest Hub device in the Google Home App
2. Press the gear icon to open device settings
3. Select "Display,"
4. Toggle the "turn off screen after 5 minutes of inactivity" option.
This should allow the screen to stay on longer for you. Please let me know if that helps or if you have any trouble from here.
Best regards,
Jake

Hey costasean,
I am sorry to hear you are still having trouble with the screen timing out. I know this is not an ideal situation. At this time, I am not seeing any article or information showing more details on the screen timeout. I know this is not the most ideal answer, and I will be sure to look further into this for you. Please let me know if you have any questions from here.
Best regards,
Jake

Jake,
Thanks for looking into this. The main goal was for me to use Google Keep to store and use my recipes in the kitchen. Since that isn't working out, I went a different route.
I installed and set up Mealie on my Synology NAS. The challenge is that, as far as I know, you can't open a browser on the Nest Hub Max to navigate to a website (in my case I need to enter the IP address of my NAS) and you can't send a link from your phone to the Nest Hub Max. So, to be able to open Mealie, I ask the Nest Hub Max to open Gmail where I've sent myself an email with the link to Mealie. I open the email message, tap the link, and Mealie opens. I haven't timed it, but the page will stay open for about 10 minutes, which is a huge improvement over the 1 minute I was getting using Google Keep.
So, I think I have a solution to my problem. It's pretty frustrating and ridiculous that Google makes it so difficult to use the Nest Hub Max in this capacity.
Again, thanks for taking the time to look into this for me.
Sean

Sorry, one last update. I think with the latest Fuchsia version (6.20211109.1.3166240) update something broke. I'm no longer able to ask the hub to open Gmail. When I do, it prompts me to log into my account, but it won't actually let me log in (see image at link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LyzSVxsLRxHsVia5WMyYs9INcPxxwAeo/view?usp=sharing). No matter what I do, I says "Couldn't sign you in".
I've tried logging in with multiple Google accounts and it keeps saying it couldn't sign me in. I'm at a loss as to what to do now. I'm at the point now where I think I should have just bought an inexpensive Android tablet and Bluetooth speakers and used that instead of buying the Next Hub Max.
I hope this is just a temporary issue and it gets resolved.
