Google Nest Hub Max constantly disconnecting from Wifi

I noticed this was a problem as early as 6/2022. Google nest hub max. It's not the internet provider, not the router/modem (use 3 puck Google). It's the one device. I unplug, plug in, works fine for about 8 minutes. Then, it has disconnected from internet. Have factory reset. Same problem. Have hotspotted to my phone. Same issue. Bizzarly, though, I gave the Google nest hub regular size does not do this. It is in another room and is just fine. Seeing this with the Google Max Nest Hub only. Last post said Google was aware and working on a fix. That was in August. So, no fix? Still working? I'm about to trash it because I am fed up with giving a command and having it tell me it is not connected to internet.

Hey folks,

The team would love your help to look into this further. In order for the team to explore further, we need to gather additional feedback from affected customers. You can send feedback from your Nest Hub Max device by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback." While you're sharing your feedback, it's important to use the keywords, "Nest Hub Max keeps on disconnecting to the network". For more instructions on how to send feedback, check this out

Once you're done sending feedback, please fill out this form with all the needed information needed.

Cheers,

Muddi

OK Thanks.  I turned off beamforming and it has fixed the issue.

Any idea when the Nest devices will be able to deal with  beamforming?

I have explicit and universal beamforming enabled on 2.4g and both Hubs work fine.

Google just verified with me that these Hubs do restart once daily. So that resolves my problem

This is the answer. I recently upgraded my wireless router to Wi-Fi 6e (TP-Link) and have been really pissed off at Google because the Nest Hub Max was the ONLY 2 DEVICES that would not connect to the new network. After reading this thread for ten minutes I turned off beamforming and the Hub Maxes both connect within 30 seconds. I have factory reset both of them at least 10 times over the last 2 weeks and they would stay connected for 10 minutes or a couple of hours and that was it. Keep in mind I have nearly 70 wireless devices on my network and none were a problem except for the Nest Hub Max.

Unlinked both Hubs from the Preview Programme and they still restarted at 4am

My issue has been resolved by the Higher Ups at Google Support

My 2 hubs were only rebooting once every night between 3-4am. I knew it wasn't my router or wifi network I just wanted confirmation from Google that these hubs were coded to reboot daily, and Google verified that to me.

My hubs are on a separate 2.4g band. I am using my own router and not my ISP's. I have not changed any advanced settings under the 2.4g band (beamforming/mms/bursting etc). All I have done which has given the hubs a very solid connection all day except for the 15 seconds in which they reboot are;

Make sure your router's IPv6 is enabled/configured. If using your ISP's router, make sure your ISP supports IPv6. You can check this very easily by going to an IPv6 test website. This is Google's IPv6 test site https://ipv6test.google.com/ you can also search for other IPv6 test sites that give more info on your IPv6 score and how to improve it. In my Google Home App under Device Information it now lists the Hub's IP address in IPv6 instead of IPv4.

I have assigned Google's DNS servers on my router. So every client that connects to that router automatically uses Google's DNS servers. I have tried Cloudflare DNS while blocking Google's DNS and the hubs were acting horribly. I monitored the traffic of the hubs and they constantly hit Googles DNS servers every minute.
