Google Nest Hub Max unable to live stream

I’m able to view the live stream from my Nest Hub Max using the Nest app with no problem. However, in the Google Home app, even though the device shows as “online,” when I try to access the live stream, it says the camera is offline. I’ve confirmed that the camera is enabled, and both the device and apps are fully updated. This seems like a sync or connectivity issue between the Google Home app and the Hub Max. Any suggestions or fixes?

I understand that you're unable to view the live stream using the Google Home app for your Google Nest Hub Max camera, as it shows your camera as offline even though your Google Nest Hub Max is online, especially since you're able to view the live stream of your Google Nest Hub Max camera using the Nest app. No worries, let's work together to get this fixed. To help with that, I have a few questions:

  • Did the built-in Nest Cam work before in the Google Home app?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Did you attempt to factory reset your Nest Hub Max after discovering your camera offline issue? If yes, were you able to successfully set up the built-in camera again?
  • When you try to stream the built-in Nest Cam, do you get error messages from your Google Nest Hub Max?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your help. It looks like everything is working properly now. The issue seemed to resolve after I unplugged the power from the Hub Max and plugged it back in.
