Hello,
Recently, all of my Google Nest Hub devices have started to frequently display home automation controls and things like “your evening”.
Now, I love the home automation abilities, but I either use my voice, or on very rare occasions, swipe down for the touchscreen UI. What I DO NOT want is for the home automation UI to present itself unprompted. Unless I manually deem otherwise, my Google Nest Hub devices should ONLY display the photo albums that I have configured for them.
That is how they used to work, but it seems a recent update or some sort of bug has caused them to constantly display UI instead of my photos. I know I can dismiss the UI with a swipe or by saying “go home” but I want my Nest Hubs to NEVER display UI automatically, and simply act as the great digital photo frames I bought them to be!
thanks,
-Sterling
(And yes, I do already have proactive personal results turned OFF)

Hi SterlingEly,
Thanks for posting — let's get this sorted out.
Check if Ultrasound sensing is enabled. This setting is on by default. When Ultrasound sensing is turned on, your Google Nest Hub display will detect that you’re nearby if you’re within approximately a 4 ft range (1.2 m) of your device.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind Regards,
Alex
