Google Nest Hub gen 2

Hi!

My Google Nest is in Chinese, and I'm not sure why. When I restarted the Nest, the interface switched to Chinese.

Could you please help me fix this?

Not to worry, you can fix this by follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/language using the Google account you will use for setup.
  2. Change the language to your desired language.
  3. Open your phone or tablet's settings app and change the region/language to your desired language. Remove any other languages. You can add these back after setting up the device.
  4. Uninstall the Google Home app from your phone or tablet.
  5. Factory reset your device.
  6. Install the Google Home app again, and retry setup. It should now display in the language you selected.

It didn't work! 😞 I have the Nest Hub Gen 2, and the SOLI sensors don't work. Is it because of the region? I'm in Colombia.

The Soli radar used in the Google Nest Hub 2 operates on the 60GHz mmWave part of the spectrum. Some countries have not approved unlicensed commercial usage of 60GHz or have licensed it for other purposes.

In any case, Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) isn't officially sold or supported in Colombia I'm afraid.
