Google Nest Hub max

I have tried removing a Hub Max from one “home” and set it up in another “home”. I get the same error each time saying it’s connected to another account or home. 
I’ve removed the hub max from the google home app, but it still shows in the nest app. It will not remove from Nest App and says remove it using google home app, which I have done.

i have wasted hours on phone to Google to try and sort but nothing so far has helped. It’s now been another 2 weeks of repeating the same process of resetting the hub max, trying to connect it and getting the same message. 
can anyone help?

When you say you reset your Nest Hub Max, did you perform the factory reset described below?

"On the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting."
