The last 3 weeks my Nest Mini 2 have lost WiFi connection once a week, I need to reset to factory settings, remove it from my Google Home, and connect it again. then it works a week again. I have 2 more nest mini 2, in my house the are working without problems. I am also using Google WiFi, so there is perfect WiFi in the house. The only thing is one of the nest minis, it have been working for a long time, without any problems, this issue started 3 weeks ago.

I just mounted a new Mesh TP-Link X60 system and every smart device (Philps Hue / Shelly / Neato Vacuum /Bosch Idigo Mower /Choromecast Tv/ Sony Receiver / etc. works fine) except one thing..... the Google Mini ??

oke the Neato D7 only connects to a Guest network set on 2.4Ghz only and with fast roaming and Beamforming off.

attempt to connect the Google mini to the 2.4Ghz (can't connect to wifi)

set the mini to factory settings  (can't connect to wifi)

Some say that the mini can't connect to a Chanel higher than 44 ? (cannot change this on a Deco )

Can someone confirm that a later version of the mini's has these same issues? or if other smart speakers or displays from Google have the same problems. because I want to buy a Google nest max display and a Nest Doorbell but if it won't be able to connect to new WiFi devices  then it makes little sense to buy them.    or is it possible to connect a Mini with a Ethernet cable (adapter).

I'm having the same problem with my Nest Mini 2. The device keeps on getting disconnected. The device is right next to the accesspoint and another Nest Mini 2 that I own functions without any problem. I tried everything suggested on this forum and other Google help sites. The issue is already going on for 2 years. Please help.

The most frustrating is, after the reconnect the Nest says "I'm always there for you...". No you are not.
I have 1x Home Mini (v1) and 3x Nest mini (v2). Two of the Nests have a left light with another colour.
The v1 work fine. One of the Nest (with one other colour) is also fine. And two of the Nest having the same problem. One is a replacement, for the broken one (I was done with it and bought a new one), but it got the same  issue.
I've tried everything. 5G / 2.4G, other router. factory reset. I'm now doing a reconnect every couple of days.
Due to this problem, the Nests have a low "wife acceptance factor", they don't just work.
Does anyone know if it is a Nest Mini thing or does the Nest Chalk has the same issues?

Wow, didn't expect so many people to have the exact same issue.

I guess I should've RMA'd it as soon as it started telling me every other day "hmmm, there was a glitch" for no apparent reason. A year later it now always tells me “I can't connect to the Wi-Fi network", like for so many others here. And manually disconnecting and reconnecting only helps for a few days until it starts over again...

🙂

It does not work. I've tried it already and it still keeps disconnecting.

🙂

Dude, people have tried your 'solution' multiple times already and it doesn't work for them. Stop trying to shove it down people's throats.

OnTopic: Have the same issue with 1 of my Nest Minis. It's located right next to my router and keeps disconnecting every night it seems. Guess I'll have to chat with google to get a replacement.

Give them a call ... no point messing arround... non of the solutions seem to work ... did anyone try immersing in salt water for 3 days and then putting in a bag of rice ( Ben's Mexican) ... oh sorry this was sarcasm

Google homes and nests etc should be there 24/7.. no messing arround factory resetting them every night setting up seperate router channels and pulling out your hair to get them working..

Report a fault .. get a replacement ... before the warranty runs out

🙂

It might work *for you* but it doesn't mean it works for everyone.

En als je zelf dan zo slim bent, waarom werk je niet bij google.

Please, this does not help the community. If it has worked out for you, I am very happy. But it is well known that certain Nest Mini devices just won't stay connected. Even after resetting and deleting the wifi conexión before and after. Yes, it works for a while, sometimes even for a few days but then it disconnects again. So yeah, you are right to a certain extent, it works but it does not last. If you cannot offer helpful advice, please keep the smugness to yourself.

🙂

You can keep insulting people, it won't change the fact that your solution doesn't work for all others. It might for some but not all.

So start acting your age (God I hope you're an adult) and either shut up or....no, actually just shut up already.

Of course you don't see our point of view because your Nest mini is in perfect condition. You didn't have a faulty device so you won't be able to help us out.

🙂

At least I know how to write, hahahaha you're very cute so I forgive you for being such a sourpuss! XXX

And then 5 minutes later .. do it all again ... and again..and again......

They are faulty .. .ring up get it replaced ... my problems were sorted in about 5 days.. no problem at all now... with 5 home/nests in the house and only one playing up ... it is a simple task to see where the fault is

I bought already a replacement, how did have the same malfunction. Should we keep buying Nests until all the devices are working?
Contact with Google Helpdesk did not work. They simply ask to factory reset and then the problem is solved (for a few minutes, hours or days).
It would be create to have an idea what the issue is and (most important)  how you can trigger the forgetfulness of the devices. I did set an monitoring on it. By me: in most of the cases it happened around 3.00-4.00 am. Is there an call-home event at night? or a garbage collector that clears the configuration?

It happens at night for me as well.

Check your history. Mine said my wife's account deleted the nest from the network. While she was asleep.

I removed her account from being able to remove nests, gonna check if that helps.

Why does Google not help with this problem???

Did anyone find a fix? I've always had this problem. I'm getting tired of having to reset this thing every three days. I have two and they both drop.

Are both nests using the same router. Mine  use different routers and one of four had this issue.

Both on same router NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S C7800. I moved them upstairs to the game room they seem to be working for now. It may be an interference issue because I have a TV, the router and several cameras around same area that all work off Wifi. I have an open floor plan down stairs they are always in same room because of the large area I needed two speakers to get a better experience. I will test the speakers upstairs for one week to determine if interference is the issue.

Interesting. My three good ones are downstairs on a router with much other things and in very separate rooms. The bad one has a good new  TP Link router almost to itself in the same upstairs room in line of sight.

Same here, it's laggy as hell, also I can't talk and listen using my Nest Doorbell Battery, it's incredible how bad it works. Using my Pixel 6 the doorbell works ok I can do 2 way communication. All devices are connected to a 5ghz band WPA2.

Google should compensate people because of this. This device is useless, I can't talk and listen to the doorbell, it's stutters a lot when I press talk button

***UPDATE TO POST FROM TWO WEEKS AGO****
So in my last post I explained I was having Wi-Fi connection issues. I moved both the speakers upstairs to a different location and have not had any issues for two weeks now. So I guess there was some interference from maybe neighbors or other devices I have in my house. As previously stated… I have several cameras and tv that work off Wi-Fi downstairs. It would only take one or two days for the connection to drop them I would have to sign into google all over again. Since it’s been upstairs for two weeks no more issues.

Mine is the opposite. The problem one has a router practically to itself. The two good one on the first floor compete with many other devices for a single router.

Same problem to me. In 2022.

Still no reply from Google to fix this. Kek

Selling this Google rubbish and getting Amazon echo...

I have this problem too, and I think it's related to mesh WiFi systems. It seems Google Nest Mini devices do this when you have a mesh WiFi network.

Mine is a TP-Link Deco system but I noticed many other posts mention Google WiFi which is also a mesh system.

I don't have a mesh wifi.

I recognized that the device is very warm when it's unreachable. They are fully turned off then.

It takes several hours for them to get back online.

Room temperature is 25°C currently, so I don't think the environment is too hot.

I even ordered new ones: same error

Looks like a big with the system or so

Thanks for this. Good to know it's not Mesh WiFi causing it.

Getting a new mini has solved the problem so far. But will know only as time goes on for the problem was random. No mesh nor heat issues.

Same problem, i think it's a way of google advertising since you're forced to spent a tremendous lot of time on the google home app.
