Google Nest Mini - automation issues and volume issues

My automated morning routine hasn't worked the last couple of days. Everything is set up fine and has been working for several years. Last night, I asked Google for something and it said it was trying to connect to the Wi-Fi, but then was fine again after a few minutes so not sure if that's related. There have been no connectivity issues other than that one incident though. 

The other issue - sometimes I'll ask Google to 'turn it up' and it will put the volume up by 1. Other times I ask the same thing and it will turn the volume up by 4. Not sure why.

I'm sorry to hear your routines haven't worked properly in the last couple of days and that you're having difficulties turning the volume up when asking Google Assistant on your Google Nest Mini. Don't worry, let's work together to resolve this. To better assist you, please confirm:

  • Was this routine created using the Google Home app or a third-party app?
  • Is this a personal or household routine?
  • Is the Activate Routine toggle enabled?
  • Can you find an entry in the Activity tab for the routine running?
  • Does the Google Assistant work correctly with other voice commands?
  • Have you tried saying, "OK Google, volume to 10%"?

Please let me know the answer to these questions.
