Google Nest Mini keeps disconnecting from WIFI

This is copy paste of a ticket I opened earlier .. since Google won't fix it and the previous post didn't have any activity in some time, they closed it. First I show my initial request, then my response to Google which I could no longer post on the previous thread.

Hi, ever since I bought the device, it keeps on disconnecting. Stopped even using it but now tried again in hopes issue would have been fixed.

Never have those issues with Alexa...come on Google, where is a fix for that?

Single Router, 2ghz 

Firmware version: 277099

Cast-Firmware: 1.54.277099

That is a joke, isn't it. The issue remains and I've heard it from many others. Is that the way, Google Support solves customer issues?

- not fixing it

- close all cases after a while since there is no activity (yeah, no activity by Google). 

 

I'm very much disappointed and want my money back for the device that is not working as expect

To confirm, have you tried connecting your device to a different network like a mobile hotspot? If yes, please fill out this form so we can further check what's going on with your device. Also, please provide the information needed below as this may help us to investigate the issue further:

 

  1. When did the issue start?
  2. How often does it happen?
  3. What is the make and model of the router?
  4. The current firmware version of your device
  5. The last activity the speaker did before it started to disconnect. It could be anything like stereo pairing when music is cast, when media is cast on audio groups, or when basic questions are asked. If others, please specify.
  6. Does the device recover by itself, reconnects automatically, or need to be rebooted?

  1. When did the issue start? Almost 2 years ago
  2. How often does it happen? It happened every day
  3. What is the make and model of the router? A Deutsche Telekom Smart 3
  4. The current firmware version of your device, see in my previous note (I have disconnected the device ever since as it was not useable - by now, it got replaced by an Alexa Echo Dot which does what it's supposed to be
  5. The last activity the speaker did before it started to disconnect. It could be anything like stereo pairing when music is cast, when media is cast on audio groups, or when basic questions are asked. If others, please specify.                   Can't even tell as it was happening all the time and I was not using it frequently enough to tell the exact app. Most likely it was Spotify 
  6. Does the device recover by itself, reconnects automatically, or need to be rebooted? Only a re-connection did the trick, all manual I'm afraid

 

Fyi. My initial request was from 12-19-2021 and at that point, the issue was already around for a year
