Google Nest Mini persistent "there's been a glitch"

M0

I have two Nest minis (2nd generation). A few weeks ago they started having problems and are no longer able to do anything. They would respond to wake words ("ok google"), but would think for a while, then respond with an error message ("something went wrong", "a problem occurred", etc.).

I have had calls from Google support but to no avail. I am pretty sure that the problem is the automatic updates that the minis are receiving. I do a factory reset and they still do not respond. I have seen this behavior multiple times. I changed WiFi connections and the problem remains, so the problem is attributable to the devices.

I have the same problem with both my Google Home Mini and Google Nest Mini. No matter what I try, I can't get either of them to work. Both appear in the Google Home app but I get either "Your Google Home hasn't been set up..." or there's been a glitch" response after saying, "OK Google" .

Was there any solution given from google to this problem , as I have the same problem?

No, Google service wrote to me asking if I had restarted the devices. I replied that I had done this multiple times and they did not provide me with any further instructions.

Hi there

Thank you for your timely response and the comprehensive information you've provided.

I've reviewed the input and understand that you have some issues with Google Nest Speaker. I know how frustrating it can be when technology doesn't work as it should. I'm here to help you figure out what's going on and find a solution together. To assist you further, please provide me with the following information:.

  • When did this issue first start?
  • Did you see any error messages on your screen before you rebooted, performed a factory data reset, or re-setup your speaker?
  • What is the make and model of your router?
  • Are there any other devices experiencing the same problem?
  • Do you have any other Google Home speakers that are working correctly?
  • Once you've completed the setup process, what does the status of your speaker show in the Google Home app?

Thank you for your patience. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Sincerely,

Jeremy

When did this issue first start?
it started in the middle of August
Did you see any error messages on your screen before you rebooted, performed a factory data reset, or re-setup your speaker?
No, no error messages on the screen. Only when I say "hey google" it lights up, seems to process for a few dozen seconds and then announces an error message, only vocal.
What is the make and model of your router?
Fastweb. I have already checked with the operator that there are no connection problems. The other devices in the house are in fact working normally.
Are there any other devices experiencing the same problem?
No
Do you have any other Google Home speakers that are working correctly?
I have two google nest mini speakers and both have stopped working at the same time.
Once you've completed the setup process, what does the status of your speaker show in the Google Home app?
On Google Home the status is active and does not report an error. I can connect my phone with Bluetooth.

thanks in advance!

  • Log in with your Google Home account.
  • Set up the device on the Google Home app.
  • If the issue persists, perform a factory reset.

Additionally, we can verify your Personal Results settings:

  4. Tap the name of your device.
  5. To turn on personal results: Tick the box next to the device name.
  6. To turn off personal results: Untick the box next to the device name.

To check how to enable personal results on other types of devices, you can refer to this article and follow the steps: Allow personal results on your Assistant-enabled devices.

Thank you for your attention. I await your response.

Sincerely,

Jeremy

Dude, you guys still haven't fixed your terrible bluetooth connectivity issues 3 years later, so why would we believe a single word you have copied and pasted here as a solution to a problem that you will never ever fix.

Bummer

Strange that it reacts to "hey google" ( I say : "ey boeboe"  ..that works as well;-)    )

But is does not process the commands after this

I am considering to chat with google, ...when I know how that possibillity works

(the possibilleity was given after a short survey)

I replaced the mini 50 more away from an existing ( non-changed) accesspoint...

Now the mini gives the correct answers

For 3 years this emplacement was the same and unchanged

now the replacement of the mini matters...somehow...and for how long...
