I'm posting this because i'm really deseperate, I have the google nest mini since 2 months, and since the begining the google nest mini is disconecting from my wifi every 1 or 2 days.
Worst is that the only way to make him connect again is to do a factory reset and do the whole setup again.
I tried to unplug him for 2 min and plug him again but still can't connect to the wifi.
Before you ask me your default noob questions, here are all my tests I did.
- Im using google wifi, so not the wifi of my ISP router. so a google product, should even work better no?
I have 3 google wifi's and tried to put the nest mini next each of them even the router one, but still disconnects after 1 or 2 days.
I have installed the latest firmware , aswell for my nest mini as my google wifi.
I have tried to force him on 2.4 ghz and on 5.0 Ghz but it doesn't make a difference, works for a few days and disconnects.
I'm using google camera and this one never disconnects from my wifi, even after several months now, also all my other devices never disconnects from the wifi.
My nest mini is at 1 meter of the google wifi and has nothing between them.
I see a lot of complaints about this issue but never a clear answer.
Can you please provide me a solution (please no reset already did several ones, every 2 days, no asking using other wifi etc, will not change all my config only for nest mini as all other devices works perfectly).
If you can't find a solution please clearly tell it, but don't make us test useless things.
If you can't provide me a clear solution, please give me a written answer telling there is no solution so I can ask a refund where I bought it.
I really like the product, but doing a factory reset every 2 days for 2 months now is too much.

Problem is the shop where I bought it doesn't want to refund it without a acceptance of the contructor (google) telling there is no solution.
They want to send it to the contructor to make some tests....
I'm afraid they will test it 15 min and tell it works, so I'm a little stuck, and of course it will work for a few days

Hi everyone,
This certainly hasn’t been easy for all of you. Let’s further look into it. Do you have other Google Home speakers/displays aside from your Google Nest Mini device? Try changing the DNS address set on your router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 > Reboot the router and Google Nest Mini device > Monitor its behavior.
scalidou, you can follow the steps on how to Change your DNS server for your Google Wifi. Keep me posted.

I could finally only change the DNS adresses on Tuesday, too much work 😉
But untill now Still connected to wifi, so I will wait a few more days and let you know if it worked.

For me Untill now it is ok, but only 3 days, I will say it is really helping in a few days, before it was disconecting from my wifi after 1 or 2 days

Bad news, today it was again disconnected from the wifi, same issue, the only difference by changing the dns is it disconnects after 5 days instead of 1 or 2 days

1) The issue started around a year ago. (I haven't used it since the problem started and couldn't get any response from the google team when I applied for a request to solve my issue and I didn't try again.)
2) The firmware version is 2.57.375114
3) Google Nest Mini Gen2
4) I don't remember but it was a general task or an alarm maybe.
5) It needs to be reset and then connected to the device again to function.
6) I purchased it over a year ago (don't remember the date but it was around May 2022)
