We had IFTTT working 2 years ago to send SMS when saying 'Hey Google, Send text to xyz'

Google removed the option last year.

this is REALLY crucial to my mum, as she is registered blind, you have cut off the only means for her to communicate to the outside world and family.

so what is the solution ?

How is Google going to fix this?

you took away a crucial messaging service for the blind....

please reply back with HOW and WHEN this will be remedied by GOOGLE.

Your Android phone can do this by voice only.

But, going against the grain, Alexa can help if you set a Reminder for 30 seconds a text can be sent to your phone from Amazon....
