For over a month now, I haven't been able to control YouTube TV via Google Assistant voice commands. For example, I say "Hey Google, plan CNN from YouTube TV on [device name]" and instead of doing that it responds with "YouTube TV isn't installed at the moment." Does Google plan to ever fix this? It used to work fine, but has been broken for over a month. Confirmation from many users at https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/YouTube-TV-isn-t-installed-at-the-momen... and https://www.reddit.com/r/youtubetv/comments/1e48qn7/google_assistant_failing_with_youtube_tv/.
Also, it has been impossible to get actual support from anyone at Google on this despite paying for YouTube TV, devices (Nest Hub and Chromecast), and a Google One subscription which supposedly has premium support. No one at Google will help, instead one group blames the other and just passes in any attempt for help back and forth.

Hi mminyard,
Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that you're having trouble using voice commands to play your YouTube TV and watch your programs. I understand how frustrating it could be when it has been passed over a month and it doesn't work. Help's here.
I just want to confirm: did you already sign in using your Google account on both YouTube TV and Google Home?
Are you part of a YouTube TV family plan, or do you share your Google Home with other YouTube TV members? Make sure to sign in to your personal Google account on Google Home to access your own YouTube TV library and viewing preferences.
Please keep me posted. I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Byron

I appreciate your response.
Yes to your first question. No to your second question, I'm not using the family plan.
This is a feature I have used for years, but it just suddenly stopped working. If you will read those links in my original posts, you will see that other users have the same problem and it started at the same time. Some commands still work (like pause and resume), but starting to watch or trying to switch a channel once watching does not work.

Hi mminyard,
Thank you for your response.
Please make sure to check if Use Restricted Mode is turned on on your device's. Here is the link to check YouTube settings. There are a few options to verify the settings.
Another trick that might help is the way to use and control the media using your voice. When you start playing a TV show or movie using your voice, like "Okay Google, watch This Is Us," all of your next control commands (pause, next, etc.) will control that TV. You won't need to specify the TV after the viewing session begins.
Also, you can control your TV when the media is playing on Google Home. When media is playing on your Google Home at the same time as your remote device, all commands will control your Google Home, not your remote devices. To control your remote device, you have to always say, "Okay, Google, [action] on [device."
If you stop playing your content on the Google Home by saying, "Okay Google, stop," and you want to start controlling the remote device that is currently playing, you must first say "on [device]" to the next command you make to this remote device. For example: "Okay, Google, next video on TV. the TV after the viewing session begins.
Let me know if this could help. Keep me posted.
Regards,
Byron

No, none of this helps.
I use this in my household and have helped many other users set it up at their homes as well. It stopped working for myself and all of the others as well within a 36 hour period 5 weeks ago. I think an update from Google broke the feature. It has happened 3 times in the past 12 months. In the two previous cases, I was able to email with support, they confirmed the issue, and said it would get fixed. And within 10 days to 2 weeks, it did get fixed. This time though, support is not being helpful which is why I posted here.

I have submitted feedback many times since this started happening. Also, as requested, I sent a video demonstrating the problem to Google support.
