Google always starts with same spotify song.

Spotify works fine on it's own, but when I hey google to play spotify, it always starts with the same song, same order of songs. Ignores shuffle settings I have on spotify.

One thing you could try is to instead of just saying 'Hey Google Play Spotify' you could just try the phrase 'Hey Google Resume Spotify' instead. Then it should just resume playing Spotify from where it last left off.  Not a full explanation I know but may help.

Thank you.  This was happening when I would try to play my lLiked songs.  Noticed that my son's playlust was fine.  Since Lked songs isn'ta playlust, i couldn'trename it.  I copied them to a playlist and works fine.  Thanks.

Yes you are right about the Liked songs list, but you can actually play them using the phrase 'Hey Google Play My Liked Music' and if you want them shuffled use the phrase 'Hey Google Play My Liked Music and Shuffle'.

These phrases can end up being a bit long winded so I tend to create various routines that I can activate with a single word. I have a routine for instance called 'Preferred' with a starter of when I say to my assistant 'Preferred' and the single action of the 'Try adding your own' type of 'Play my liked music and shuffle'. I then just say 'Hey google preferred' and is plays my liked songs.

Thanks!  Believe me, I would try all variations of phrases and wouldn't work.  Doing well since I copied liked songs to a playlist.
