Google assistant can’t access my calendar

I am having trouble setting up my google nest hub max. I can’t get it to do very much other than show me my cameras. I am trying to have it access my calendar and announce the items on my calendar for the day when prompted by it tells me it can’t find anything. I’ve linked several calendars to my google calendar and I can see it on the ios app but for some reason google assistant can’t figure it out. May the problem be that my google home is set up with my yahoo account versus a gmail account?

Currently, this feature isn't supported. Since the IOS calendar is not compatible with Google Calendar. We're always looking for ways to improve and appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving our products to meet your needs.
