Google assistant no longer plays my radio station

  • I hope I chose the right categories? I use Google Assistant on a Sonos speaker. It SAYS it’ll “play WBEZ on TuneIn” but then it is silent. I have unplugged/rebooted but that didn’t help. I see there was a problem with TineIn awhile back. Is there one now also? If not, what steps will fix this on my end, as I need this function daily.

Hello ChicagoMe,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community and sorry for the delayed response.

To confirm, do you have a Google Home/Nest device that has the same issue? Are you able to listen to other radio providers? Please note that we have very limited support on third party speakers with built-in Google Assistant like Sonos. If rebooting your speaker and router did not work, I suggest that you reach out with Sonos for additional steps.

Cheers,

Muddi

Thank you. I already did so and So is reports a “major outage” with Google Assistant, which has yet to be remedied.

Thanks. It turned out to be an outtage with Google Assistant. It's since been restored (but took a few weeks).
