Hi, I'm writing to report an issue that's been going on for a while.
On all my Nest devices—both Nest Hubs and Google Minis—I'm no longer able to set timers when using Italian as the language. I haven’t tested with English or other languages, so I’m not sure if the problem is limited to Italian.
Here’s what happens:
When I say, “Ok Google, imposta un timer di 5 minuti” (set a 5-minute timer), the device responds with “Ok, per quanto tempo?” (how long?), and when I repeat “5 minuti” or even “300 secondi”, it just keeps asking the same question in a loop. This continues until I manually stop the interaction.
A similar issue already existed with alarms, where the only workaround was to state the hour and minutes separately, but now it’s happening with timers as well—and in this case, there seems to be no workaround at all. As a result, setting a timer has become impossible.
Hope this will be solved soon.

Same here , since a week
Thursday
I can confirm the by starting in English and then completing the command in Italian (set timer di dieci minuti) works. It's weird but works...
Thursday
Well, i tried that, but in dutch haha. Sadly that doesnt work either, de command for hey google is the same in dutch. I tried resetting the hub, no results. Such a anyoing bug.
Thursday
So if you say "hey Google set timer <10 minutes in dutch>" that doesn't work? Well that's even weirder 🤔
Sunday
Same here.
When I say “Ok Google, imposta un timer di 5 minuti” (set a 5-minute timer) and the device responds with “Ok, per quanto tempo?” (how long?), I have to answer in english (five minutes) instead of "cinque minuti" to let the GNest understood my answer... This is the only way I found to use my Nest as a timer....
