Google assistant

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering with regards to the mini and Google assistant, if it's possible to have it give a tune after every time you call on it so you know it heard youou and is starting to listen.

I recall on the generation 1 pixel, there would be a quick tune of acknowledgement, just like Siri.

That is certainly still an option. Try these steps:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Tap your device > Settings cog >

     Accessibility.
  4. If you want your device to play a sound only after you say "Hey Google," turn on the toggle next to Play start sound, and leave the Play end sound slider off.

  5. If you want your device to play a sound after you say "Hey Google" and after Assistant stops to listen, turn on the toggle next to Play start sound, and Play end sound

Followed these steps for my home devices now what about for my Pixel 5? Play start sound isn't available under the phone's Accessibility setting.

You can try the settings listed here:

I've seen some reports it works for some but not others, so your mileage may vary.

Thanks again. I don't have the app so are people downloading Nova Launcher only to turn on the accessibility service for the ding?

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
