Google devices

I purchased all these Google products under the assumption that the devices worked with one another. Since this upgrade, for lack of a better terminology. The Google Home application on my phone and the devices are totally out of sync. Everytime I try and follow instructions to connect a device, the instructions do not work with my device. The instructions seem to be for a totally different device in general. I asked Google, how do I place a google Audio speaker in to pairing mode. First it needs to be connected to your Google Home app. So once again I ask Google, how do I put the Google speaker into pairing mode. It replies the same answer. Is it all these years of programming has made me iliterate, or is there something terribly wrong with the connectivity with Google Home app. All my other bluetooth devices seem to work great. Why has Google screwed devices and homne app gone to s----? I am about to toss all these devices in the trash. They might work better away from the Google home app.

Has the speaker been moved into a Home and Room or is it still in the 'Linked to you' section (at the bottom of Devices)?

No, its in the same place its been for the last three years since I moved in. I tried to factory reset both the nest hub II and the Google Nest audio. No no avail. Nothing is connecting to my Home app with the exception of three plugs and three smart bulbs. So I know there is nothing wrong with my wifi.

My Nest Hub Max wouldn't reconnect to my Wi-Fi after a factory reset despite being in the next room and in direct line of sight of router, but after moving it to the same table it connected first go. Then I moved it to its intended position.

SmartHomeH-TAGS. I am happy to state that I finally was able to get my Google Home products to work. I never moved or changed rooms, however, something occurred and I had to "factory reset" all my devices for them to function again. Thank you.
