Google home configuration

Google home setup

A home with a living and bedroom. The living room has a Google speaker and two Phillips Hue lights; the bedroom has a Phillips Hue light and a Google mini. Currently, a “turn on/off the lights” command in the living room also turns on/off the bedroom light. Same commands in bedroom only affects the bedroom light. Ideally the rooms would function independently of each other. How to configure?

Hi @TimE1

I also had some issues with my Google Home sync and Hue lights.

Please check if your Google Home setup has the rooms set up correctly.
I started creating new rooms within the Google Home app: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9159862

After you create the rooms you like, you can tap on your devices and changes the room.
This way, you can correct everything. 😊

I found that addressing Google by room name things work as expected.  Don’t know what changed to cause the original technique to change results.
