Google home max won't trigger automation

Hi,

There are some automation triggers for the Google home max in the home assistant app, like when the home max switch to AUX or when it switch to CAST. The problem is none of them actually works. Those triggers never start the automation. My language is set to canadien french. I don't know if that could maybe be the problem?

Hi Deboxta,

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you — a few questions to narrow things down: was it working before? What kind of automation are we working with?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.
  4. Change the language to US - English and see the difference.

If this is about aux input for Google Home Max automatic switching, see this guide for more information.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Dan

Greeting the same, just any Routine in new Home App associated to start on Google Home Max, won't run any elements of the routine.  All other devices OK, just not GH Max .. seems dead in the new home automation app

Sorry to hear about that. Could you tell us the actions included in your routines that doesn't work on your Home Max?
