I recently got a used google home speaker and the speaker itself won't respond to any of the hot words (hey google or ok google).
I did a full reset by holding down the mic button, made sure the mic is not muted, tried the long hold on the top of the speaker, upped the hot word sensitivity, unplugged and plugged it back in, and nothing has fixed the issue.
Is it an issue with the microphone itself and can they be replaced if need be? Should I just return it and try and find a new one?

Hi KaceyF,
Thanks for reaching out.
I appreciate all the details you've shared. Since you have tried all the possible steps that could resolve this and none of this worked, I'd like us to try doing a hard reset where you will need to set it up again.
Lastly, if this would still not work, I would advise you to return it to the store you purchased it to get a real time replacement. I'll keep this thread open for few days and let me know if there are any progress.
Keep me posted.

Princess

I got it as a gift from friend one year ago. I don’t have details of purchase.

Hi dasariharsha029,
Thanks for responding.
Warranty replacement is only 1 year from the date the device was purchased. Since your device was a gift, I'd be happy to take a look into this for you. Please fill up this form with all the needed information then let me know once done.
