Google home mini does not turn off

Hello! I had no trouble before with my Google home mini gen 1 but recently when I play music before sleep and ask to turn off the music in 30 min or 15,5 min the speaker says "okay the __ will stop playing in 30 min" but it continues to play throughout the night. I tried to reboot it multiple times. I have also completely reset it and disconnected from Google home app and connected it again. But nothing works. Please help as I mostly use it for music this problem makes it difficult to appreciate the speaker.

Unfortunately there is no solution to this. This bug appeared 2 or 3 weeks ago possible related to a recent firmware update although not certain. There are many other reports about this.

Google are apparently aware of it and a fix is awaited. The nearest thing that can be done is not a solution so not perfect but a kind of temporary workaround as follows.

Create a Routine on the Google Home app with a single action command of 'Stop Playing'. Additionally create a starter on the routine for when you want the routine to action of a set time of day, e.g. for instance at 23:00 or of course whatever time would be more suitable. Then the music or sleep sounds will stop when the routine activates at that set time every day or night. Not perfect but the best you can do until this very annoying bug is fixed.
