Google home mini won't connect to wifi

Cannot get my google home mini speaker to connect to my Xfinity internet after I moved it. I've tried factory reset and restarting everything else (google home display and internet router). I have two of these now because I thought something was wrong with the first one. I believe I have a 2nd gen and a 1st gen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hey aarhan777,

Welcome to the Google Nest Community Forum.

We appreciate your efforts. To eliminate network issues, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home Mini device).

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi I am having the same problem where I can't connect to my home wifi I know the password like the back of my hand.

So I don't know why it is doing this. I did what you said and used Hotspot and it did work this way.

But how do I get it to work with my home wifi again is my problem?

Hey biggjake9,

Apologize for the delays. Looks like the issue is with your network and not the Google Home Mini, since it is connecting to hotspot. How many devices are connected to your network? Please make sure that your network is not congested, and check the settings on your router to make sure that it is capable of handling all your devices at the same time.

Cheers,

Muddi

I have recently come back from a trip where I set up my Mini no problem. I am now home and trying to get the Mini reestablished. I have managed to get theini to connect but it won't connect to my wifi (which it was connected to for years). I have turned my router off and on. Unplugged the Mini. Etc. Once I get to the step of the Mini hooking onto my phone's Wifi network, a warning comes up automatically saying the Mini cannot connect, regardless of whether I enter the information manually. So. Help.

This is where I am as well....same error at the same place of connection. I've been trying to reset the mini to the factory setting but can't seem to do that it.

Hey Steverider,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue. To confirm, did you us two devices when setting up your device to a mobile hotspot? Also, did you reset your device prior setting up to a mobile hotspot?

@Quan82: Could you tell us what happens when you press and hold the reset button? It is best if you could share a photo or video of your device while resetting it, so we have a better picture of what's happening to your device.
