Regarding your question, yes, you can control both Chromecasts with your Google Nest Mini, but not both at the same time.
Switching between Chromecasts:
- Voice Command:
- Say, "Hey Google, switch to (name of Chromecast)." For example, "Hey Google, switch to the living room."
- Control Chromecasts with the Google Home app:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap Favorites or Devices, and then select the Chromecast icon.
- Use the app controls to play, pause, adjust volume, and more.
