Beginning yesterday, when trying to set a timer or alarm, the response is "sorry I don't know how to help with that". This happens on all speakers and displays. Even after reboot. Any advice?

I am having the same problem, even with factory reset.

Same here, it started this morning across all of my connected devices at home and I can't find a fix for it. 😤

more frustrating is that my display gives me options it does when it doesn't know how to do something, in this case "set timer" or "set 10 minute timer" and then when I select any of them, it again responds that it "doesn't know how to help"!!!

I am also having same issue. Performed reset and still not working. Only in settings alarm, stop watch and timer that is not working. All other functions works. Asking the time works fine also.

I'm beginning to think this is issue with Google in general.

I started having the same problem this morning. I tried rebooting and it didn't solve the problem. Everything else seems to be working.

Me too!!!!! Okay, it’s not just me.

Same here! I have been trying to figure it out all morning!! When I ask it to set an alarm/timer, it says "sorry, I didn't understand ". Then I will ask it to repeat my last question and it did hear me correctly. This is very frustrating 😤

Hi all,
I escalated this thread to our community support.
Try clearing the Google Home and Google apps' cache. Reboot if you haven't.
After the error reply you can voice send feedback by saying "share feedback" and record your message.
Thanks for reporting this!!

Yea, this issue affects all our Google mini speakers too recently. I'm gonna have to go buy an Alexa speaker if this isn't fixed soon.

UPDATE: timers/alarms are working again. Appears this was related to support/maintenance being done, but glad that support has finally responded and addressed this.
