I have 3 speakers in my google home group. If I turn one of them off the group stops playing. Is it possible to fix?

Hi Princesss,

It looks like after a number of experiments we found a solution! We can manage additional speaker adding and removal without stopping the group, so it is possible! It requires some tricks, but it's possible indeed.

Hi Artem_i,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Please note that if you make changes like turning off one speaker to a group that currently casts music, group playback stops and any audio device within the group stops playing media. Visit this link for more information about playing music on audio group.

Hope this helps.

Hello Princess,

Thank you for your post. I'm not spoiled with responses from Google, so it's nice to have your response indeed. About the speakers: I can turn some of the speakers from the same group down and it's not affecting the group, but some speakers are killing the group activity completely. I'm not sure it's fixable as Google Home is so unstable. I'm having issues with connecting speakers to Google Music, but with Spotify it's a connection problem pretty much every day. So my main question is: do you expect an new more stable and better ui/ux version of Google Home coming? We stopped buying Google products because of all these glitches, I just need to figure out if we need to replace the rest of the Google devices we have or keep them for a while.... Thank you!
