Google hub will only play music on speaker group

My Google nest devices used to work perfectly and I could nominate which speaker music would play on. Now when I ask for music to be played on a specific speaker it will only play on the speaker group. I have tried deleting the speaker group and if I do that it just will not play anything. Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
