Can you explain further what you mean by resets itself? That should only happen if you follow the steps to manually reset it using the mic off switch and pressing and holding the top of it. Do you mean it disappears from the Home app?

It won't be being reset, unless someone is physically doing that using the buttons on the device. It can't be reset using the Home app, or any other way than using the buttons on the device.
If it's disappearing from your Home app, have you shared your home with anyone else who could be removing it from the app? Or do you share your Google account with anyone else?

If it's being removed from the app, that doesn't reset it so it loses all its settings, it just means you'll no longer see it in the app.
Let us know what you find out!

At first once i got the nest at the start i have my girlfriend access to it and it worked fine until it just gone from google home app so i removed my girlfriend access on google home and the issue still there. I still have all my settnings but each time i have to re-add the nest to google home i have to do the re-setup once again

That's definitely not normal. Let's go over a few things:

i have 3 different account that i personal owned and i have tested them no one else has the access to the nest and i control to my own network that i have fully admin access to it
i have changed the wifi password to be safe.
i am 100% confident nobody else as access to my google account.

In that case, I've no further suggestions and have asked a specialist to review next steps with you.

Hi Svein,
Thank you for the above steps. Just so we are on the same page, when you did the reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link? Is your account a Google account with a Gmail domain? Does it unlink itself from the Google Home app multiple times a day or just between 3-4 AM?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
Once done, follow it up with a factory reset to revert it back to its default and original settings. Here’s how:
Keep me posted
Thanks for helping, davidking!

- Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
- Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
- Restarting your phone might also help.
Once done, follow it up with a factory reset to revert it back to its default and original settings. Here’s how:
- On the side of your device, switch the mic off.
- The lights will turn orange.
- Hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top.
- After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
- Keep holding for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.
- Redo the setup then monitor.
Keep me posted

Hi Svein,
We appreciate you doing the steps provided above. Let's try this instead to isolate further:
Monitor and let me know if the issue persists.

i will try that solution i will get back to you once i have the time for it
wont take this long to setup.
updated i have tested it and it works completely fine by using mobile hotspot
nothing abnormal behaviour then i put it back to my main network and it works fine.
then i would assume its my internet having problem or the google service had some issue around that happen?
FYI i bough this nest since January this year and it worked couple months until happen around march

Hey there,
Thanks for the confirmation. It may or may have been with your connection itself. Since we've already tried it with your mobile hotspot and there's no error, how about if we isolate further instead. You need to contact your ISP or your router/modem's manufacturer to guide you when you access its settings and see if changes can be made. Check this out:
Let's hit one out of the ballpark.

You need to contact your ISP or your router/modem's manufacturer to guide you when you access its settings and see if changes can be made. Check this out:
- Channel interference (channel congestion from too many devices, optimal channels for 2.4GHz is 1,6, or 11)
- UPnP should be enabled.
- AP Isolation disabled.
- Make sure a VPN or Proxy Server is not configured on the network.
- Confirm distance between router, setup device and Google Home are optimal.
- MAC Filtering should not be enabled on the router.
- Preferred DNS settings: 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4
Let's hit one out of the ballpark.
Cheers,
Dan
so far i check list i have done
1. optimize the 2.4ghz (default or put in auto) all though the nest is connected to 5Ghz network
2. UPnP enabled (by default)
3. VPN or proxy server not been touched nor setup at all.
4. distance with router and nest are very close tight each other.
5. Mac filtering is disable
6. DNS hasent been changed same been provided (more like default settnings)
7. AP isolation is disable
Hopefully that should work as it should be.

Hi Svein,
To confirm, are you using a personal Gmail account? Also, are you able to monitor your device in 48 hours while connected to a mobile hotspot?
Cheers,
Muddi
