Up until the last couple of days I could instruct my mini nest to “sleep in 20 minutes” and 20 minutes later is would stop. But now it although it acknowledges the command, it keeps on playing after the time period. I have tried saying “stop in 20 minutes” as well as specifying an actual time, but all to no avail. I have two speakers, and they both are doing the same.
Hello, I've been patiently waiting for Google to resolve this issue to no avail and I know that there are a lot of people having this same problem. Is this google's way to tell

You can turn off a timer or an alarm without saying, “Hey Google.” Just say, “Stop.” This feature is available on Google Nest and Home speakers and displays in English-speaking countries.

I have EXACTLY the same problem. Any fix?

Hi @Art82 . There is no fix for this. Hundreds of people have already reported this. There are many, many threads about it. Google have at times been merging new threads reporting this bug with one of the originals which has been locked. It affects all google sound devices.
It may have coincided with firmware release 324896, but as users we are only guessing. Google will not say other than they are aware of the bug.
Consequently a fix is awaited. When, nobody knows.
The nearest thing that can be done is not a solution so not perfect but a kind of temporary workaround as follows.
Create a Routine on the Google Home app with a single action command of 'Stop Playing'. Additionally create a starter on the routine for when you want the routine to action of a set time of day, e.g. for instance at 23:00 or of course whatever time would be more suitable. Then the music or sleep sounds will stop when the routine activates at that set time every day or night. Not perfect but the best you can do until this very annoying bug is fixed.
Alternatively create this type of routine
Create a 'Personal' routine, (Note this does not work with 'Household' routines)
Give it an activation keyword of something like 'Thirty' as an example.
Click on 'Add Action'
At the bottom you will see the option of 'Delay start', click on this
Enter the time to delay as 30 minutes
After this you will then see an entry for 'After 30 min'
Add an action after that entry of just 'Stop playing'
If you want an audio response to confirm that the routine will be actioned simply enter an Announcement command BEFORE the 'After 30 min' line of 'Stopping in 30 minutes'.
Then when you say 'hey google thirty' it should respond with 'Stopping in 30 minutes' and 30 minutes later the music will stop.

Is it time to toss the mini speaker and the rest of the google products and move to Alexa/Amazon?
