Google mini turns volume up by itself

I'll be playing music through my Google Home Mini at a very low volume (say like 1%-10%, it's just background noise whilst I study so it never needs to be very loud). Out of nowhere the volume will shoot right up to 100% without me doing or saying anything. I can shout at the speaker to turn back down again, but sometimes almost immediately after it'll turn itself right back up. There's nothing touching the speaker, and I've asked my housemates if any of them are doing it as a joke and they've all confirmed its not them. It's been happening for so long now and I really just want a solution

Hello Fridge,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it can be when your Google Home Mini unexpectedly increases its volume. To confirm, are your housemates devices connected to the same network? If so, let's try isolating the issue by setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. This will require two mobile devices- one to serve as a router and the other to set up your Home Mini. After completing this setup, kindly check if your device behaves the same way.

Cheers,
