Tried to reset but to no avail. Still showing 4 red lights and saying microphone turned off when it isn't.

Hi neilsafc40,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? When you did the reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link?

To make sure, are you also getting the same message even if the mic is on? If not, if the mic is off on your Home Mini and someone is talking, it will react that way since it's thinking someone is trying to talk to it.

You can try adjusting the “Hey Google” sensitivity" of your device. Here's how:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the device card of the preferred speaker or display.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings >  Audio > “Hey Google” sensitivity.
  4. Use the slider to raise or lower the device's sensitivity to make it more or less responsive to "Hey Google".

Let us know if that helps.

Best,

Dan
