This week, my devices have all gone a little haywire. Most annoying is we have a bedtime routine that sets an alarm. It asks for what time to set the alarm, but when we answer it says it can't help with that and displays options like "set an alarm".

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
Once done, try to set an alarm:
To check the status of an alarm or timer:
To cancel an alarm or timer:
