I was wondering if I can arm my homes adt security system with google nest

Hi there!

 

Thanks for posting in the community. 
I understand that you want to know if you are going to be able to control your ADT security system with Google Nest speakers or displays. No worries, help is here.

 

To control your ADT devices with your voice using a Google-Assistant enabled device, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
    • Note: If you have multiple homes, you’ll need to use the one that you assigned as your ADT home. Tap the home name in Favorites to switch homes if needed.
  2. Tap Devices, then go to Add, and finally hit Works with Google Home.
  3. Search and select “ADT Smart Home” and then follow the steps to complete setup.

Once you’ve connected your device, you can arm/disarm your ADT system and control your compatible smart home devices using your voice. Just say “Hey Google” to get started.

Try some of these voice commands:

  • "Hey Google, arm my system to away"
  • "Hey Google, turn on the living room light."
  • "Hey Google, disarm my system."
  • "Hey Google, set the thermostat to 70 degrees."
