My google nest audio suddenly stopped working. I tried rebooting the device, tried using a different power adapter and power outlet, tried turning the mic on and off, but nothing worked. It’s not powering on.

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear your Google Nest Audio is acting up! Let's get that back up and running for you.

Based on what you've described, it sounds like the device might be experiencing a power issue or software glitch. We've already tried some good troubleshooting steps, so let's move on to some next-level solutions:

Deep Discharge: Try a slightly longer discharge than before. Unplug the power adapter from both the outlet and the speaker. This time, leave it unplugged for at least a minute. Then, plug the adapter back into the speaker first, and then into a working wall outlet (avoiding surge protectors if possible). See if this jumpstarts the device.

Factory Reset: If a deep discharge doesn't do the trick, a factory reset might be necessary. Remember, this will erase all your settings and saved information on the Nest Audio. Here's how to do a factory reset:

  • Flip your Nest Audio over and locate the reset button on the bottom.
  • Use a small pin to press and hold the button for about 10 seconds.
  • The LEDs will pulse white to show a reset is in progress.
  • The device will automatically reboot itself after the reset is complete.

Contact our Nest Support: If none of these steps work, there might be a hardware issue with your Nest Audio. Our Google Nest Help website has information on warranty coverage.

I hope this helps!

Brandon.
